Sing It
Musical Host Interrupt
How to Play
“The players will begin a scene, and throughout it I can blow my whistle and call for a specific player to ‘Sing It!’ and they will sing a song based on their last line of dialogue.”
The referee gets a suggestion for the game, and the players begin with a neutral scene. Whenever the referee wishes, they may interrupt the game and call out a player, and line of dialogue, then encourage the audience to join them in declaring “Sing it!”. That player will begin to sing a song based on that line, generally with the line becoming the chorus. During their song, the other players may join in for back up, or to move the song forward. The player, referee, or musician can end the song.
