What Are You Doing?

Opening

How to Play

“The players will go back and forth asking each other what they are doing, and then will have to tell them anything other than what they are actually doing, which the player must start doing...you know what? You’ll figure it out.”

One player from each team will take the field and the referee will determine who will initiate. The initiator will start miming an activity, the other player will ask “What are you doing?” The initiator will immediately stop and say anything other than what they were miming, and the second player starts doing whatever was said. The initiator follows suit and asks what the other player is doing, and the other player stops and says anything but what they are doing. The initiator will begin doing this activity. The game continues in this fashion until a player is called out for hesitating, actually saying what they were doing, or for any other reason the referee wishes to call them out. A new player rotates in for the player called out, and becomes the initiator. As the game progress the referee may layer on obstacles such as all actions have to be related to a given theme, start with initials, rhyme, or whatever they wish.

Host Tips

Ref will start with themes (activity, occupation), then 1, 2, and 3 letter suggestions (“A” = “Anteater gymnastics”, “AP” = “Anything Pertaining to wombats”, “PIT” “Pitching Insane Torsion control”
