Beastie Rap
How to Play
Both teams take the field, standing on opposite sides in a formation of one player in the front and the others behind them, the referee gets a suggestion of a one syllable name, chooses a team to start, and the announcer plays a rap beat. The person in the front of the first team will set up a line that will end with the name given, and the players behind them say the name in unison. The person in the front of the second team will set up a line ending in a rhyme to the name, that the players behind must say in unison, a la the Beastie Boys style of rapping. This continues back and forth until a player hesitates, the players behind don’t speak in unison, or for any other reason the referee deems unworthy. When this happens, the referee will rotate the team that failed, so a new front person takes the lead, gets a new name, and the game begins again. This process continues until the end of the game.
